Tuesday, September 6, 2005 - 1:35 PM Name: JoannaYes, it's pretty. and my house is finally beginning to measure up after a summer of sinking deeper and deeper into disgrace. My yard man took a temp job up the street at Old Dominian University this summer. They expected him to give 12 hours/day...which left very little time for cutting the grass and trimming the bushes at my house. The place got completely wild. Then to make matters worse, all his equipment suddenly had to be replaced and he couldn't afford to do that, so had to just buy this and that piece. The weeds behind and beside my garage literally were higher than the garage roof. It all looked shaggy and wrong and unkempt. Finally, as of today, he is getting the last catch-up done and I again look ship shape and Bristol fashion. I have had a struggle with myself over the speed at which this improvement came about. Don't have any patience, particularly since I've come to the conclusion that his problem wasn't so much due to overwork and equipment failure as to alcoholism. However, I did keep my mouth shut, and today he's at last finishing all the details so that my yard fits into the pretty neighborhood again. YAY!!!!
